These sessions will focus on new strategies to enable court reporters to become realtime capable.  It will introduce instructions on overcoming psychological barriers to providing realtime, equipment/setup for realtime, strategies for cleaner realtime writing, and the benefits of providing realtime services.

Participants need to bring:
Steno machine with realtime cable
Laptop
Power strip

To increase the number of court reporters providing realtime by providing small-group, hands-on instruction in a comfortable setting

  • RPR and RMR Literary, Jury Charge, and Testimony skills tests
  • CRR, CCP, and CBC skills tests
  • Administered at NCRA-sponsored testing sites
  • Reporter member = $160; Reporter nonmember = $200
  • Student member = $125; Student nonmember = $200

Written Knowledge Test

  • RPR, RMR, RDR, CBC, CCP and CLVS written knowledge tests
  • Administered at Pearson Professional Centers by Pearson VUE
  • Candidate must register through NCRA, and then schedule the actual date and location through Pearson VUE
  • Reporter member = $175; Reporter nonmember = $200
  • Student member = $140; Student nonmember = $200
